CAUSE & Effects is a Southern California publication
covering local, state, and national politics from an Asian Pacific American
perspective.
CAUSE & Effects is a Southern California publication covering local, state, and national politics from an Asian Pacific American perspective.
The journal is published three times a year. It includes in-depth, opinion-based feature articles and public policy analyses (750 to 2000 words), as well as thought-provoking sidebars (500 to 1000 words). The articles should not be written to advance any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office.
Our editors welcome story pitches from writers.

We regret that we cannot respond to every story pitch. Manuscripts without a self-addressed and stamped envelope will not be returned.
All freelance pieces are submitted "on spec"; we do not pay kill fees. The pay rate for published articles is 10 cents per word.
Complimentary copies of the magazine in which their article(s) appears are mailed to freelancers.
Published articles are also included in online edition at www.causeandeffects.org.
